Pasta night!

Ok, so as most of you know usually I am the crazy one who just does things on a whim and generally it is without thinking. Seize the moment! Well last night (after the longest day known to man!) I made chicken parmigiana with marinara sauce and spaghetti noodles (all in seperate bowls)...I know all of you know where this story is going! So we eat our dinner the kids loved it, I taught them how to slurp a long noodle (they thought it was the funniest thing ever) and we were just talking. Wade gives me these funny eyes and a smirk that would make anybody curious and then eyed the large bowl of spaghetti noodles. I knew where it was going so I smiled back and totally nodded. He picked up a handful of noodles and tossed them at Kady landing straight on her head. I wish I would of had the camera at that exact moment. She looked at me like..."am I in trouble", "is dad in trouble", "should I laugh" and then you could see it in her eyes...."Ha...I am gonna throw some back!" So that she did just that. She took them off of her head and tossed them back at Wade. Then, Kole and I joined in and I swear...it was such a fun time. I know we are horrible parents for starting food fights and teaching our children these types of things but I tell ya....it was totally worth every minute of hearing those belly laughs! So I have enclosed quite a few photos so everyone can get the idea of how much fun we did have! (Oh and please pardon the way I look! No shower and like I said before...the worlds longest day!)

The first strike!

Oh no, Dad you are totally gettin this back!

Kady going over to get Kole

If you notice the noodles in Kadys hand...she was attempting to throw them at Kole....well let me tell you, she won't be joining the softball team anytime soon!

This would be the reason....they made it on Maxx instead of across the table to Kole!
If you can see right in front of me....yes that is a wad of spaghetti flying at my face from my lovely son!
Don't worry, I sent it back his way though

If You're Happy and You Know It!

So Maxx was just full of smiles yesterday afternoon and Kady and I had a few moments together to capture some pictures of his chubby cheeks! He was just smiling and cooing for her! Yeah to being a great big sister Kady!!! Here are just a few of our chubby little man!

Pics of the kids

For those of you who didnt' get to see the pics of the kids we took in December here they are. We didn't get a good whole family one, or one of the 3 kids together but we are planning on doing that for V-day! Lets cross our fingers there is at least one good one!

Kole- 33 months old

Kady- 33 months old

Maxx 2 months old

(I apologize for the color variation. It happened when they were scanned!)

Our baby!

Ok so here are a few silly ones of Maxx. He is doing really good and seems to be the most calm when the most chaos is happening. So needless to say during the day he is great. The problem comes when it is night time and it is quiet! So I have enclosed just a few of him and his smiles. I love it now that he smiles back when you talk to him. He is cooing more and more each day and it is the neatest thing. Although I love all of my kids equally, I love that I get to spend more time cherishing all of his coos and smiles. With the twins life was so hectic at this point that you never really got to sit down and just enjoy it! This time, I am taking it all in and enjoying every minute of it!

Ok, I know this picture was in a previous post but I just love it too much. Wanted to share it again!

Disneyland

Well after many attempts of making it to the Happiest Place on Earth...(or if you ask Kady it is Minnie's House) we finally did it. It was a complete spur of the moment thing and believe it or not it was Wades idea. Our friends Kari, Snure and his daughter Jaque have season passes and they were already going that night so we thought what the heck, lets go. So we packed the kids up and headed to Anaheim. By the time we got there, got parked and in the park it was already fairly late but we were going to purchase the buy one day get another park free ticket so it wouldn't be a complete waste esp. since the kids are free. Well while standing in line for tickets, Wade decided to purchase a season pass for him and I. I was so excited. The kids had a great time, and although they didnt see everything, it made me feel so much better we didn't have to rush. We can go back as many times as we want to experience this! Here are a few pics to show how much fun we had!

Knotts!

So this last week we had a great adventure at Knotts Berry Farm. My friend Johna, her daughter Karson, her mom, my mom, Kole, Kady, Maxx and myself packed up and headed to Knotts. It was seriously so much fun! The kids hit the grounds running and we mustered up our energy and chased right after them. They loved meeting Snoopy

but I don't think anything compared to their first ride! I have to say I haven't laughed this hard in a long time! The ride that they picked you fit 6 people across and it had a bar that came across the whole thing. As soon as the lady hit the button you went straight up in the air (fairly slow, nothing to scary) Well all the kids took advantage of this and put their arms up not knowing what was coming next.

As soon as it made the first drop down Kady grabbed onto the bar in fear for her life. She never cried or asked to get off but her facial expressions were priceless. Then as soon as the ride would go up again she would put those hands back in the air knowing now what was coming but would still grab the bar on the way down. However, as soon as the ride ended she was the first one to shout, lets do it again! Here are the kids on a few more rides.

Maxx hung in strong too! This has to be my favorite picture of him yet!

One last thing....right after the kids turned a year old, they were treated to Knotts Berry Farm by our friends the Gerritse's. Barbara, Corey and Danielle took myself and the kids to Knotts for the first time. Here is a picture of Kole from that day.

And this is a picture of Kole from last week! Just like Kady, time flies!

My little Peanut!

Ok, so I know I haven't posted in awhile so I am going to do some serious catching up! I know this post may seem silly to you but I couldn't help but smile to no end just flipping through some old pics. This is Kady after taking a bath when she was 10 months old.
This next one was just last week when she came running in the kitchen to show me that she was a lady bug! (Thanks to Aunt "Booby" aka Aunt Judy) for the great towels! They love them! In this pic she is 34 months old. (Taken almost exactly 2 years (to the day) apart!I can't believe she is going to be 3! I tell ya, time flies when we are havin' fun!

We have giggles!!!

Ok, so today while Kole and Kady were napping, I decided that dishes could wait, and picking up after the kids could wait and I would have a photo op with Maxx. Oh I am so glad I did. He was so happy smiling back at me....(I know, with crazy voices and silly faces I would laugh at me too!) anywho...so while I was talking crazy and taking pictures, he totally giggled! It was pretty funny because he totally startled himself. I will post a few pics, (don't want to do smile overload on ya!), but it was such a cool "naptime". I hope they put a smile on your face like they did mine!

Ringin' in the New Year Dumont Style

Well after all of the Christmas Chaos, we packed our bags, and the toys and headed for Dumont for New Years with Wades Dad, Sister a couple of her friends, Kevin and his dad Willie and our friends Dave and Danielle. It was so much fun. The kids had a blast, Danielle taught Kady how to make sand angels instead of snow angels. Kole loved watching all of the "vrooms" as they put it. They both could not get enough of riding the quads and Maxx...well he kinda just hung out. We had a really good time. They boys went for their rides, us girls went for our rides (and we managed to conquer come pretty steep hills might I add.) We went to competition hill on Friday night to watch quad, bikes and sandrails race up the mountain. Kevin and Wade jumped in on those festivities. We just watched from the tailgate of the truck. We cooked, hung out by the campfire, played in the sand, laughed until we couldn't laugh anymore. It was so wonderful getting away from the everyday stresses of life and no work, cellphones ringing, household chores. This is the second year in a row we have done this and definately want to keep it a tradition. It was sooo much fun. Here are a few pics of our memories in Dumont this year!

Christmas in our busy little family

Ok, so Christmas in our family is always busy but this year just seemed amazingly busy. We can start by saying that I am normally fairly organized when it comes to Christmas. I usually have all my shopping done by the first week of December and my house is decorated, leaving me to enjoy in the holiday festivites and generally that means giving my mom a helping hand getting her presents purchased and house decorated. Well lets just say nothing happened in that order this year! Yikes. It was last minute shopping, buzzing around with my head cut off, and my wrapping supplies put away in enough time for me to go to bed and Santa to arrive. So we celebrated Christmas Eve in the usual tradition of Wades Grandmas house celebrating with his Dads side of the family, then off to Grandma Del's house (Denises Mom) to celebrate with the Hardison Family. Then to home to snuggle into bed and prepare for the next morning. So Christmas morning we had Wade's Dad, Mom, Stepdad and Sister over. I made breakfast, we had Mimosas, coffee, juice a great breakfast casserole and lots of present opening. After that we loaded up the car and headed to my parents house for Christmas with them and a great Christmas dinner. The kids were great, although it was a busy day they were troopers. We came home that night and I began preparing for a big Christmas dinner with Wades Moms side of the family. His Aunt, Uncle and Cousin flew in from Missouri and his other Uncle, Aunt and Cousin drove down from Bakersfield. Add them to his mom, stepdad, stepsister, niece, sister and our brood and there you have it. One busy house. So like things aren't chaotic enough, the heater in our house went out 2 days before Christmas, and then, as I am cooking a Christmas dinner for our family on the 27th, as I go to put my desserts in the oven we find out our oven is not working. I mean really. Is it everything all at once or what. Well I have never been so thankful my brother and Lissa live so close. I hopped in the car and headed to Stevens house to place my desserts in his oven! Things although took a bit longer than expected turned out great and we soo enjoyed Christmas with all of our friends and family. So, although this post may seem a bit dramatic, we just loved spending time with everyone, and are so thankful for our health our happiness and all things we truly treasure! Here are a few pics for the idea of Chaos!
