Where have I been?

Ok, I know.....there is absolutely NO excuse for my delay in updating this website. I mean really, I act like I actually DO something during the day! Ok, enough with my sarcasm and all. Updates, and really I don't know where to start. It has been about two months I think since I have been on here. Unfortunately this post is going to be picture-less since I had to take my camera to the shop to get fixed, so it will just be a boring ol' post on how absolutely wonderful I think my kids are! Now for the fun stuff.
The last two months have been a blast. In May we celebrated my moms birthday and we took all three kids to the river for the first time! It was AWESOME! I think it totally paid off going all summer long last year with Maxx in the belly. As soon as he gets on that boat he is the happiest little guy ever! All three kids couldn't be happier than when we go the the "river house". We stay at Dad and Moms place out in Bullhead and always team up with our friends Dave and Danielle (Baby Amy too!) and we just have the best time. Wade and I were able to get away for an adult weekend this year and it was simply wonderful. It has been awhile since we have been kidless and although I missed them like crazy and wanted to come home early on more than one occasion, we stayed and it was well needed. Maddie and Matt were like heroes that weekend with the kids as they watched all three of them for the majority of the weekend. Maxx stayed with Lissa on night and Wades sister stepped in for a couple hours on Friday night while Maddie and Matt went to work. We have an amazing family that is for sure. We celebrated the fourth of July river style, and with Wade not having the Friday or the Monday off, we left for the river Friday evening and Wade flew home Sunday evening, then back out on that Thursday. THe kids and I stayed through the week (mostly to alieviate being in the car with the kiddos so long, and I mean really...with the way the heat has been here, it's not like we would be coming home to escape any heat!) Besides that, Kady is still taking dance (which she absolutely loves) and both her and Kole have been taking swim lessons with Miss Jackie and it has done absolute wonders! Kady (well not like she had fear in the first place) jumps right in and is totally fine going all the way under and trying to swim across the pool all by herself. Kole, well...he is happily getting in the water on his own. (that is leaps and bounds from last year!) He is very content keeping his face and hair dry but other than that, LOVES the water. Wade is still hanging in with work. Since the economy has slowed so has work but I guess having a job is a plus at this point! Our big vacation this year will be Hawaii, Maui to be exact and we are leaving in about 16 days! The kids are super excited and I am overjoyed that we are able to return to our favorite place. It will be interesting as we have added another kiddo to the mix since our last trip there, so like last time, the only thing that I am nervous for is the plane flight! Other than that LETS GOOOO! Well as soon as my camera is back from the shop I will drown this page in photos. Oh, one more thing about the "little big guy" aka Maxx. I took him in for a 9 month check and he is a whopping 22 pounds! He just started to crawl (the week I stayed out at the river) and his first word was "BaBa" and on 4th of July he looked right at Wade and said "DaDa". It was really neat. Although I was a bit on the jealous side (still waiting for Mama) it is so much fun watching him grow. We are still waiting on teeth, but knowing he is our last...we are in NO hurry for him to grow up!

For all of you out there who still check our blog thank you for having the faith that I would one day get back to it! I am going to try and keep some posts going from Maui (since that will be a way to keep Nannie, Papa Vroom, Grandma, Grumpa and the rest of the fam. updated it makes for a bit of pressure to keep me on my toes.)
