Christmas in our busy little family

Ok, so Christmas in our family is always busy but this year just seemed amazingly busy. We can start by saying that I am normally fairly organized when it comes to Christmas. I usually have all my shopping done by the first week of December and my house is decorated, leaving me to enjoy in the holiday festivites and generally that means giving my mom a helping hand getting her presents purchased and house decorated. Well lets just say nothing happened in that order this year! Yikes. It was last minute shopping, buzzing around with my head cut off, and my wrapping supplies put away in enough time for me to go to bed and Santa to arrive. So we celebrated Christmas Eve in the usual tradition of Wades Grandmas house celebrating with his Dads side of the family, then off to Grandma Del's house (Denises Mom) to celebrate with the Hardison Family. Then to home to snuggle into bed and prepare for the next morning. So Christmas morning we had Wade's Dad, Mom, Stepdad and Sister over. I made breakfast, we had Mimosas, coffee, juice a great breakfast casserole and lots of present opening. After that we loaded up the car and headed to my parents house for Christmas with them and a great Christmas dinner. The kids were great, although it was a busy day they were troopers. We came home that night and I began preparing for a big Christmas dinner with Wades Moms side of the family. His Aunt, Uncle and Cousin flew in from Missouri and his other Uncle, Aunt and Cousin drove down from Bakersfield. Add them to his mom, stepdad, stepsister, niece, sister and our brood and there you have it. One busy house. So like things aren't chaotic enough, the heater in our house went out 2 days before Christmas, and then, as I am cooking a Christmas dinner for our family on the 27th, as I go to put my desserts in the oven we find out our oven is not working. I mean really. Is it everything all at once or what. Well I have never been so thankful my brother and Lissa live so close. I hopped in the car and headed to Stevens house to place my desserts in his oven! Things although took a bit longer than expected turned out great and we soo enjoyed Christmas with all of our friends and family. So, although this post may seem a bit dramatic, we just loved spending time with everyone, and are so thankful for our health our happiness and all things we truly treasure! Here are a few pics for the idea of Chaos!
